Prenatal Massage at the Spa
In this class, you will learn how to safely massage your prenatal clients. Many myths surround Prenatal Massage, and you will learn what is fact and what is fiction! You will learn how to properly position and drape clients for each trimester (including the changes that occur during each trimester). Cautions and contraindications will be covered, including high risk pregnancies. You will learn what muscles and joints are affected during pregnancy and how to help each area using massage and stretches. Learn how to utilize an intake form for these clients so you can be sure you’re asking for the correct information.
This course includes hands-on practice sessions.
After this course, you will feel comfortable and confident massaging your prenatal clients!
This class is for ANY massage therapist, not just for Spa therapists.
Postpartum Massage
In this class, Postpartum Massage – Caring for your clients after the pregnancy, you will learn a great deal about the Postpartum period. Many classes focus on Prenatal care, but this class will delve into the Postpartum body and stages. You will learn how to safely massage postpartum clients while making them comfortable and relaxed.
You will learn how to recognize postpartum contraindications and conditions that may affect some clients. You will learn how the postpartum period can affect women physically, emotionally and psychologically. We will practice positioning as well (clothed).


Prenatal / Postpartum Workshop
This two-day class will cover the history, benefits, and myths of Prenatal and Postpartum Massage. Learn about the effects of stress on mother and fetus, stages of growth, contraindications, precautions, high risk clients, proper positioning, and draping.
Class will cover muscles affected during pregnancy, changes during pregnancy, marketing strategies, self-care for mothers, and stretches. Postpartum will cover contraindications, safety concerns, and self-care for mothers. This class includes a hands-on practicum. After this class you will be able to offer Prenatal and Postpartum Massage to your clients with confidence and peace of mind.
Infant Massage 101
In this course, you will learn how to safely massage infants and teach parents/caregivers how to as well. Touch is so important, and infants benefit greatly from massage. This course will cover the history and benefits of Infant Massage, safety guidelines and contraindications, appropriate massage techniques during each developmental stage, infant bonding, and massage cues. You will also learn Infant Massage during special situations, as well as marketing strategies.
This course will include how to effectively communicate the importance of Infant Massage with parents and you will be able to confidently teach parents Infant Massage strokes. This course is taught in-person and via Zoom.


Side-lying Massage: Not Just for Pregnant Clients!
Side lying massage is typically just taught for prenatal massage. However, it can be so beneficial for many types of clients. It is always a great idea to be able to confident in alternate positioning for your clients so they can relax and be comfortable. In this class we will go over proper draping and positioning using pillows to ensure your client’s comfort. We will address muscles we can easily access in the side lying position as well as effective stretches.
We will identify which clients are best suited for side lying massage and we will perform a hands-on demonstration. Please bring a set of twin sets, massage oil/cream, and 2 standard size bed pillows.

Meditation for Massage Therapists
In this class you will learn about Instinctive Meditation and how easy and effortless it really is to meditate. This modern style of meditation helps reverse the effects of stress in our lives. This process is simple and natural for our bodies- we are already wired for this! This works well even if you have little time or a constant racing mind. Learn how to incorporate these simple techniques into your own daily practices.
Please have these items available: writing materials, (and, if desired, a pillow and thin blanket). This class is taught both in-person, and as a virtual class, held over Zoom.
Self-Care Retreat for LMTs
This is a retreat day for Massage Therapists. We are brilliant when it comes to taking care of others and showing them how to care for themselves well…but how do you nourish YOU?
During this retreat, you will unwind, relax and rejuvenate. You will experience a modern form of meditation that is freeing and great for anyone, especially if they have a racing mind.
Other topics include: journaling, yoga/stretching, preventing burnout as a therapist, balancing your roles in life, realizing your goals and dreams, and much more! You will leave feeling grounded and prepared for your next chapter of business and life. Our classroom for the day will be just steps away from the beach. You’ll have time to practice meditation techniques on the beach and plenty of time to rest and integrate all you’ve learned.
